A Pink Event is MLC Cancer Foundation’s annual breast-cancer wellness symposium and fundraiser, hosted each October at the New College Institute in Martinsville, VA. Centered on “Empowerment Through Knowledge and Wellness,” it features clinicians, workshops, and resources on prevention.

Patricia Via, a dedicated 14-year breast cancer survivor, emphasizes the importance of this event: “Each story shared brings us closer together. Our mission at the MLC Cancer Foundation is to empower and uplift those affected by cancer and to provide vital support and resources.

The Black Student Alliance hosts this annual event with guest speakers and a panel event discussing Breast Cancer, healthy lifestyles, and bring awareness to its prevalence in Black communities.
